FAQ's
Will I need a passport to cruise?
Passports are not required, however they are strongly recommended. Also acceptable for cruise travel (for cruises that begin and end in a U.S port), U.S. citizens can show proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate issued by a government agency and accompanied by a government-issued photo I.D.
Am I required to get a COVID-19 test or vaccine?
Please review Smith Luxury Escapes' COVID-19 Waiver & Liability. Carnival has recently relaxed it's COVID-19 requirements. Vaccinated guests must continue to provide evidence of their vaccination status prior to embarkation. Pre-cruise testing is no longer required, except for cruises to Canada, Bermuda, Greece and Australia (per local guidelines), and on voyages 16 nights or longer. Unvaccinated guests are welcome to sail and are no longer required to apply for a vaccination exemption, except for cruises in Australia or on voyages 16 nights or longer. Unvaccinated guests or those who do not provide proof of vaccination must present the results of a negative PCR or antigen test taken within three days of embarkation. All policies are subject to local destination regulations. NOTE: Guests under the age of 5 years are exempt from vaccination and testing requirements from the United States and under the age of 12 from Australia. Are there minimum age requirements?
Infants must be at least 6 months of age at the time of embarkation in order to sail. Please note that Camp Ocean is not a day-care and children under two years of age are not allowed to participate in the regular Camp Ocean programs. There are specific times on your cruise that this age group is welcome into the facility with their parents. For the convenience of our guests, Night Owls (babysitting) is available for an additional cost for children 6 months to11 years, allowing parents time to enjoy the nightlife without having to worry about their little ones.
What are my transportation/parking options during the cruise?
Parking and guest drop-off will be at Cedar Grove Parking (1000 Monticello Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23510) between Virginia Beach Boulevard and Princess Anne Road. Complimentary shuttle service will be available to the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center. The parking rate is $15.00 per night and must be paid upon entering the lot. Acceptable forms of payment include: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, US Dollars and Travelers Checks. There are porters available to assist with you luggage at Cedar Grove.
